Become a Volunteer
The Sauk County Historical Society would not exist without volunteers! In fact a group of volunteers started the Society back in 1905!
There are many ways to volunteer at the Society from one-time events to ongoing projects at the history center.
One-time Opportunities
Welcome people to one of the houses on the Tour of Historic Homes
Be an actor in a living history tour at the cemetery or be a group guide
Help staff the Van Orden Mansion for a Christmas event
Help with a special event
Ongoing Opportunities
Help make research collections more accessible and user-friendly
Work with the curator to help catalog archival material
Help with educational outreach to children
Work on a special research project for the Society
Help with membership maintenance
Serve on a committee
