These letters home from soldiers of WWI  (or the Great War as it was known at the time) were originally published in the Baraboo News Republic. Transcriptions of each letter are included on these pages. The original letters are located in the archives of the Sauk County Historical Society. Photos, where available, are also included. The Republic's editor at the time was H. E. Cole.
