Bedroom/Sitting Room The blueprints describe this room as a bedroom, and what a bedroom for the early 20th century! Note the fireplace, and beside it a wash closet that had running water and a marble sink. In the northeast corner of the room is a spacious closet. An interesting feature of this room is the closet in the northwest corner of the room. This closet has a doorway leading into the Master bedroom next door. Perhaps this room was used as a private sitting room for the senior Van Ordens.

This room chronicles the history of Sauk County from 1837-1871, when the last great passenger pigeon roost occurred in our area and settlers of European descent had made their mark on Sauk County.
